Flash Tool For Xperia Devices
To get started: From the Metro Start Screen or Desktop, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon). Click ‘More PC Settings’. Click ‘General’. Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’. Wait a bit.
Click ‘Troubleshoot’. Click ‘Advanced Options’. Click ‘Windows Startup Settings’.
Click Restart. Choose option 7 (Disable Driver signature Enforcement). Profit! Now you can install the drivers of fastboot. And now you can connect your phone in fastboot. NOTE: It will be back enabled when you restart, but you only have to do this to install the drivers. I didn't installed the android SDK!!

I get this error (while installing the drivers in failsafe mode): The drivers I am installing is: 'Sony Ericsson Xperia arc, Xperia Neo, Xperia PLAY, Xperia acro IS11S, Xperia acro SO-02C drivers' (From a list inside the program 'C: Flashtool drivers Flashtool-drivers.exe') I also tried to do something listed on MSDN: From: But that failed too. Didn't really give me anything but the same error.
I am using Flashtool 64, since I'm on a 64 bit computer. ANY HELP APPRECIATED! /edit When I try to execute the drivers in normal mode (ie. Not fail safe) I get this: ' Driver name / status ✓ Sony Ericsson (WinUsb) sa0102AdbDeviceClass ( 2.0.0010.20010) / Ready to use X Sony Ericsson Net ( 6.0.6000.16388) / Install failed'. I'm using Flashtool on Windows 8.1 64bit PC without any problems at all here is the steps you can do Go to Pc Settings ( Charms Bar) Change PC Settings Update And Recovery Recovery Restart Now (Advanced Startup) it will restart to Advance Start up automatically In Advance Start up Troubleshoot Advanced Settings Start-up Settings Restart After rebooted you will get this screen.
Here to choose options we have to use function keys. Now press 'F7' to select 'Disable Driver Signature Enforcement' Now your PC will boot with Disabled Driver Signature Enforcement and you will be able to install Flashtool/Fastboot drivers. One more thing to add here.
Sometimes I also faced the same problem. Windows 8.1 and also rite now on windows 10 Tech Preview.
When I connect the device. Click the Flashtool Icon and choose my FTF!! When it starts to flash. It gives me same error. But instead what has to be done is.Click the icon. Select the FTF or Kernel or whatever.
And when the FLashtool gives u a pop up to connect the device. Then connect it.
It will work. EDIT: THIS IS LATER ON AFTER INSTALLING THE DRIVERS CORRECTLY FROM ABOVE POST! Quote: Originally Posted by milowke I have done these steps and It worked for me.
